Add Desks

Desk resources represent physical desks in your workplace, adding desk resources in Yeastar Workplace allows admins to manage all desks and desk reservations efficiently through Yeastar Workplace.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Yeastar Workplace management portal.
  2. Go to Desk > Desk Management and click Add.
  3. In the pop-up dialog box, configure desk information to creat a desk:

    • Desk Name: Specify a name to help you identify this desk.
      It's recommended to name a desk with its location, i.e. Desk 201.

    • Building: Click the dropdown list and select the building where the desk is located.

    • Floor: Click the dropdown list and select the floor where the desk is located.

    • Desk Type: Click the dropdown list and select the type for this desk.

      • Permanent Desk: A dedicated desk for a specific user, can not be booked.
      • Flexible Desk: A flexible desk that supports being booked by users with permissions.
    • Smart Devices: Click the dropdown list and select an occupancy sensor to bind with this desk.

    • Desk User: This field is only available when the desk type is selected as Permanent Desk.
      Click the dropdown list and select which user this desk will be assigned to.

    • Booking Permissions: This field is only available when the desk type is selected as Flexible Desk.
      Click the dropdown list and specify which users have permission to book this desk.

  4. Click OK.

Result

You have added a desk which is displayed on the desk list.

  • For permanent desk: The desk status shows Permanent, and a notification message is sent to the desk user about the assigned desk.

  • For flexible desk: The desk status shows Available.
