Upgrade Room Comfort Sensor Firmware

This topic describes how to upgrade firmware for the Milesight Room Comfort Sensor AM307.

Prerequisites

Background information

To upgrade sensors, you need Milesight ToolBox, which is a handy tool for Milesight sensors in terms of device configuration.

Room Comfort Sensors support firmware upgrades via the ToolBox app (Android only) and ToolBox software. Upgrade the Room Comfort Sensor based on how it is powered:

Note

Only the Android version of ToolBox supports the upgrade feature.

  1. Download the latest firmware to your smartphone.

    1. Access Yeastar Firmware Download Center from your Android smartphone.

    2. Click BIN beside the Room Comfort Sensor to download the latest firmware to your phone.

  2. Access the configuration page of Room Comfort Sensor.

    1. Download and install Milesight ToolBox App from Google Play.

    2. Enable NFC on the smartphone and launch Milesight ToolBox.

    3. Attach the smartphone with NFC area to the device to read device information.
      The device's basic information and settings will be shown on ToolBox App if it’s recognized successfully.

  3. Tap Maintenance on the top bar, and select Browse to import the latest firmware.

    Warning

    Any operation on the ToolBox is not allowed during firmware upgrade, otherwise, the upgrade will be interrupted, or even the device may be damaged.

Upgrade the sensor via ToolBox software

  1. Download the latest firmware to your computer.

    1. Go to Yeastar Firmware Download Center to check the new firmware.

    2. Click BIN beside the Room Comfort Sensor to download the latest firmware.

  2. Download and install ToolBox software on your computer.

    1. Go to Milesight Software Download Center.

    2. On the sidebar, click Software and select ToolBox

    3. To the right of Toolbox vx.x.x for Windows, click to download ToolBox software.

    4. Install ToolBox software when the download is complete.

  3. Access the web interface of Room Comfort Sensor.

    1. Connect the Type-C cable of the Room Comfort Sensor to your computer.

    2. Open the ToolBox software, on the ToolBox Settings page, select Type as General.

    3. Enter the password, and click Save to log in to ToolBox. (Default password: 123456)

  4. Upgrade Room Comfort Sensor firmware.

    1. Go to Maintenance > Upgrade, and click Browse to import the firmware.

    2. Click Upgrade to upgrade the sensor.

    Warning

    Any operation on the ToolBox is not allowed during firmware upgrade, otherwise, the upgrade will be interrupted, or even the device may be damaged.
