Install Milesight Room Comfort Sensor AM307

This topic describes the hardware overview of Milesight Room Comfort Sensor AM307 and gives instructions on how to power up , and install a Room Comfort Sensor AM307.

Before you begin to install the room comfort sensor AM307, you need to check the package contents to verify that you have received the items below.

Hardware overview

Power on a room comfort sensor

Room comfort sensors can be powered via USB Type-C port or by ER14505 Li-SOCl2 batteries. Choose one of the following methods to power up the sensor.

Powered by ER14505 Li-SOCl2 batteries

  1. Release the screw on the back of the sensor and remove the rear cover.
  2. Install the batteries.
  3. Fix the rear cover back to the sensor with the fixing screw.
  4. Press the power button for three seconds, the device will be started up.

Note

  • Battery life: Around 3 years(10 mins interval).
  • When batteries and external power are both used, external power will be the preferred power supply option.

Powered via USB Type-C port

Preparation: Prepare a Type-C cable and a USB Type-C power adapter.

  1. Release the screw on the back of the sensor and remove the rear cover.
  2. Connect the Type-C cable to the Type-C port of the sensor.
  3. Pass the type-C cable through the openings on both sides of the sensor.
  4. Fix the rear cover back to the sensor with the fixing screw.
  5. Connect the Type-C cable to the USB Type-C power adapter.
  6. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet.
  7. Press the power button for three seconds, the device will be started up.

Note

Type-C cable and power adapter are not included in package contents.

Mount the room comfort sensor AM307

Before you start the installation, we recommend you register the sensor to Yeastar Workplace.

Mounting notes
  • There should not be any isolates or barriers in PIR and light detection range.
  • Do not mount the device where the temperature is below/above operating range and temperature varies greatly.
  • Stay far away from any heat source or cold source like oven, refrigerator.
  • Do not mount the device close to where airflow varies greatly like windows, vents, fans and air conditioners.
  • Do not mount the device upside down.
  • Do not place the device right to the window or door. If you have to, you’d better pull the curtain.
  • It is recommended to mount the sensor at least 1.5m high from the floor.

Mounting by 3M tape

  1. Paste 3M tape to the back of the mounting bracket.
  2. Tear the other side and place it on a flat surface.

  3. Put the device on the mounting bracket.
  4. Fix the bottom of the device to the bracket with the theft-deterring screw.
                                       

Mounting by wall-mounting kits

  1. Press the mounting bracket at the desired height on the wall and mark three hole locations. Drill three holes on the marked position.
  2. Hammer the wall plugs into the holes respectively.
  3. Press the bracket on the wall and align its holes with the wall plugs, then fix the screws into the wall plugs
  4. Put the device on the mounting bracket
  5. Fix the bottom of the device to the bracket with a fixing screw.
