Create a Provisioning Template

Yeastar Central Management allows you to create provisioning templates, where you can define specific PBX settings tailored to your needs. After that, you can set up provisioning tasks to apply the template to multiple P-Series PBXs, eliminating the manual process of configuring similar settings on each device. This topic describes how to create a provisioning template for P-Series PBX.

Requirements

  • The firmware of Yeastar Central Management is 87.15.0.83 or later.
    Tip: You can check the Yeastar Central Management version by hovering your mouse over the at the top-right corner of the web interface.

  • You have access to the PBX provisioning template feature.
    Tip: You can confirm this by checking whether you can access the Repository > Provisioning Template menu. If you fail to find the menu, contact your service provider to ensure that the necessary permission is assigned to your account.

Limitation

You can create up to 50 provisioning templates.
Note: The number of templates created by your colleagues is also included.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Yeastar Central Management, go to Repository > Provisioning Template.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Basic section, complete the following settings.
    • Name: Enter a name to help you identify the template.
    • Remark: Optional. Add a note to the template.
  4. In the Configuration Items section, add and set up the following configuration items for the template according to your needs.
    Note: To prevent unintended changes to the PBX existing configurations, remove the default values of specific configuration items (e.g. user roles, MoH) from the template if necessary, as non-empty template settings will fully override the corresponding PBX settings,

    Extension
    • Bulk add and edit extensions.
    • Create and manage user roles.
    • Set up contact visibility.
    • Customize the following features for the extension(s).
      • Voicemail
      • Extension features including Email Notifications, Call Recording, and Time-conditional Presence Auto Switch
      • Transport Protocol
      • Linkus Clients
    Trunk
    • Add trunks
    • Customize the following configurations for the trunk(s):
      • Codec Settings
      • Inbound Caller ID Reformatting
      • SIP Headers
    Resource Repository
    Note: These configurations only take effect on the P-Series PBX with firmware version X.19.0.110 or later.
    • Add or upload custom templates for auto provisioning.
    • Upload image files used for phone auto provisioning.
      Note:
      • Up to 50 custom templates and 50 image files are supported.
      • Templates can be uploaded/downloaded between PBXs and Yeastar Central Management for flexible management.
      • If the custom template you upload references image files, the associated images will be automatically uploaded to Yeastar Central Management.
    Call Control
    • Configure the following features:
      • Inbound Route
      • Outbound Route
      • Business Hours and Holidays
      • Emergency Number
    Call Features- IVR
    • Add IVRs
    PBX Settings
    • Customize the following PBX preference settings:
      • Device Name
      • Name Display Format
      • Tone Region
      • Internal Chat (Only apply to P-Series Appliance Edition and P-Series Software Edition)
      • Distinctive Caller ID Name
      • Extension number range
    • Set default Music on Hold
    • Customize the following SIP settings:
      • UDP/TCP port settings
      • TLS feature
    System
    • Customize the following system settings:
      • Date and Time
      • Date display format and time display format
      • Notification email Language and Linkus Welcome Email template
      • Event Notification Contacts
    Security
    • Customize the following security settings:
      • Allowed IPs (Only apply to P-Series Cloud Edition)
      • Allowed country IPs
      • Allowed country codes
    Integrations
    • Configure the following integration features:
      • Speech to Text
      • API
      • Database Grant
  5. Click Save.
