Alarm Overview

Alarm feature is designed to provide information about changes of Yeastar Central Management, cluster servers, and P-Series Cloud PBXs. When an alarm occurs, the system records the alarm and notifies contacts concerned via email.

Alarm types

Yeastar Central Management supports the following types of alarm:

  • Monitor Alarm: Alarms about abnormalities of the monitored system performance for Yeastar Central Management and cluster servers.
  • Event Alarm: Alarms about the system events in Yeastar Central Management.
  • PBX Reported Alarm: Alarms reported by P-Series Cloud PBXs,

Alarm levels

Alarm level is used to indicate how severe or important an alarm is. Yeastar Central Management supports the following alarm levels:
  • Information: Alarms that pass general information.
  • Warning: Alarms that indicate specific components or applications are not in ideal states, and further action could result in errors.
  • Alert: Alarms that indicate problems require timely attention.

Notification contacts

You can add colleagues or external users to define where to send alarm notifications. When an alarm occurs, Yeastar Central Management will notify the associated contacts through emails immediately.

Important: By default, there is no notification contacts on the system. Make sure you have set at least one notification contact, or you can NOT get the alert message timely.

Notification email templates

When an alarm occurs, the system sends emails in the pre-defined language and email template to the specified contacts.

Yeastar Central Management provides default email templates for each system alarm, you can also customize email template according to your needs.
Note: Email template for PBX Reported Alarm is NOT allowed to be customized on Yeastar Central Management, you can update it on PBX management portal.
