Expand System Capacity of a P-Series Cloud PBX

After you create a P-Series Cloud PBX, you can expand the number of extensions and concurrent calls, or recording capacity as needed.

Restrictions

Important: The feature only works for partners who have purchased hosting package of P-Series Cloud Edition.

Prerequisites

  • Go to My Subscription > P-Series Hosting Package to check if capacity of extensions, concurrent calls, or call recording is sufficient.

  • Go to Cloud PBX > PBX to check if Plan is under upgrading or if Extension is under expanding.
    Note: If there is a pending order for Plan or Extension, you need to contact Yeastar or log in to Yeastar Partner Portal to complete payment first.
    • If Plan is under upgrading, the Plan is displayed as EP->UP.

    • If Extension is under expanding, the Extension is displayed as {old_ext_qty}->{new_ext_qty}.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Yeastar Central Management, go to Cloud PBX > PBX.
  2. Select a desired PBX, click , then select Resize Capacity from the drop-down list.
    Note: If you have a pending order of Plan upgrading or extension expanding, a pop-up window will appear. If necessary, you can cancel the pending order directly from the pop-up window, and proceed with the system capacity expanding.

  3. In the pop-up window, expand the number of extensions and concurrent calls, or recording capacity as needed:
    Setting Description
    Extension Reset the maximum number of extensions.
    Note: A maximum of 500 extensions is supported on a P-Series Cloud PBX.
    Concurrent Calls Reset the maximum number of concurrent calls.
    Recording Capacity Reset the maximum recording capacity.
    Note:
    • Only when Call Recording is enabled can you configure the option.
    • The PBX has 500-minute recording time for free. If you enter a value greater than 500, the exceeding minutes will be deducted from the total recording capacity of your P-Series hosting package.
  4. Click Save.

Result

The operation result varies from the Plan with which the PBX is subscribed:
PBX with Enterprise Plan subscribed
The expanded capacity is deducted from your total subscription capacity, and takes effect on PBX immediately.
PBX with Ultimate Plan subscribed
  • For Concurrent Calls and Recording Capacity, the expanded capacity is deducted from your total subscription capacity, and takes effect on PBX immediately.
  • For Extension, the expanded capacity will NOT take effect on PBX until you complete payment.
    Note:
    • Contact Yeastar or log in to Yeastar Partner Portal to complete payment within 3 days.
    • Before you complete payment, the capacity to be expanded will be frozen and can NOT be assigned to other PBXs.
