Alarm Overview

Alarm feature is designed to provide information about changes of Yeastar Central Management, P-Series Cloud PBX, and the PBX systems and gateways that are remotely connected to the system. When an alarm occurs, the system records the alarm and notifies contacts concerned via email.

Alarm types

Yeastar Central Management supports the following types of alarm:

  • Event Alarm: Alarms about the system events and the PBX systems or gateways that are remotely connected to Yeastar Central Management.
  • PBX Reported Alarm: Alarms reported by PBX systems that are created on or remotely connected to Yeastar Central Management.

Alarm levels

Alarm level is used to indicate how severe or important an alarm is. Yeastar Central Management supports the following alarm levels:
  • Information: Alarms that pass general information.
  • Warning: Alarms that indicate specific components or applications are not in ideal states, and further action could result in errors.
  • Alert: Alarms that indicate problems require timely attention.

Notification contacts

By default, all the colleague accounts created on your Yeastar Partner Portal are synchronized to the system. You can set colleagues as notification contacts, or create external users to receive alarm notifications. When an alarm occurs, Yeastar Central Management will notify the associated contacts through emails immediately.

Notification email templates

When an alarm occurs, the system sends emails in the pre-defined language and email template to the specified contacts.

Yeastar Central Management provides default email templates for each system alarm, you can also customize email template according to your needs.
Note: Email template for PBX Reported Alarm is NOT allowed to be customized on Yeastar Central Management, you can update it on PBX management portal.
