Device Overview

As a robust centralized platform, Yeastar Central Management allows you to connect Yeastar on-premises PBXs and VoIP gateways to the platform for remote monitoring, management, and provisioning, giving you the power to quickly and securely take control of the devices without having to travel to the site.

Requirements

Subscribe to Remote Management Account or Remote Management Premium Account service.
Note: If you have subscribed to P-Series Turnkey Hosting Package, the Remote Management Premium Account service is already available, and its expiration date will follow that of the Turnkey hosting package.

Supported operations

Yeastar Central Management supports the following operations on the remotely connected devices.

Operation Description
Remote Monitoring and Management

Allow you to remotely connect, monitor, and manage Yeastar PBXs and VoIP gateways on Yeastar Central Management.

PBX Provisioning via Template Allow you to configure the remotely connected P-Series Appliance Edition and P-Series Software Edition via a template.
Important: This feature is mainly used for PBX initial setup. If the PBX is already in use, we recommend that you back up the PBX first as the PBX's existing settings will be overridden after the provisioning.
Note: To use the feature, you need to subscribe to Remote Management Premium Account service.

Supported devices

Only the following PBX systems and TA FXS VoIP gateways can be added and remotely connected to Yeastar Central Management.

Device connection method

The remote on-premises devices can be connected to Yeastar Central Management via the following methods.

Method Scenario & Instruction
Yeastar ID

Scenario: You are responsible for routine maintenance of end users' PBX systems or gateways.

Instruction: Fill in your Yeastar Partner Portal credential on PBX management portal or gateway web interface.

Authentication Code

Scenario: End users have in-house IT staffs for routine maintenance of their PBX systems or gateways.

Instruction:

  1. Generate an authentication code on Yeastar Central Management.
  2. Contact the IT staff to fill in the authentication code on PBX management portal or gateway web interface.

Device status

The following table describes different statuses of the remotely connected devices.

Icon Description
Online: The device is connected to Yeastar Central Management.
Offline: The device is NOT connected to Yeastar Central Management.
Abnormal: The device is connected to Yeastar Central Management, but specific alarms happen.
Tip: Click to check the alarm. If the alarm is read, connection status will be switched to .
Active: The device is one of the Hot Standby pair, and is now running the PBX system.
Standby: The device is one of the Hot Standby pair, and is now in standby state.
Provisioning: The device is being provisioned.
Upgrading: The device is being upgraded.
Restoring: The device is being restored.
