PBX Provisioning Overview

Yeastar Central Management supports PBX provisioning template feature, which allows you to configure P-Series Cloud Edition and remotely connected P-Series Appliance Edition / Software Edition in bulk using a template. The automated PBX provisioning streamlines the process of manually configuring similar settings on multiple P-Series PBXs, significantly reducing the time and effort and thus boosting productivity.

Requirements

  • To provision P-Series Cloud Edition, make sure the following requirements are met:
    Item Requirement
    Firmware

    The firmware version of P-Series Cloud Edition is 84.19.0.110 or later.
    User Permission You have the following user permissions:
    • You have the permission to Allow Provisioning via Template for Cloud PBXs.
      Note: If the desired button on the PBX details page or creation page is not visible, contact your service provider to obtain this permission.
    • You have the permission to access the PBX provisioning templates.
      Tip: You can confirm this by checking whether you can access the Repository > Provisioning Template menu. If you fail to find the menu, contact your service provider to ensure that the necessary permission is assigned to your account.
  • To provision remotely connected P-Series Appliance Edition and P-Series Software Edition, make sure the following requirements are met:
    Item Description
    Subscription Subscribe to Remote Management Premium service.
    Firmware

    The firmware version of P-Series Appliance Edition/P-Series Software Edition is 37.19.0.110/83.19.0.110 or later.
    User Permission You have access to the PBX provisioning template feature.
    Tip: You can confirm this by checking whether you can access the Repository > Provisioning Template menu. If you fail to find the menu, contact your service provider to ensure that the necessary permission is assigned to your account.

P-Series Cloud Edition

1. Prepare a Provisioning Template

Create a provisioning template, and pre-configure common PBX settings tailored to your needs. For more information, see Create a Provisioning Template.

2. Create P-Series Cloud PBX(s)

Create P-Series Cloud PBX(s) on Yeastar Central Management, and enable the Allow Provisioning via Template option. For more information, see Create a P-Series Cloud PBX.

3. Schedule a Provisioning Task for the PBX

Create a provisioning task to provision the desired PBXs immediately, or on a scheduled time. For more information, see Provision P-Series Cloud Edition via Template.

P-Series Appliance Edition / P-Series Software Edition

1. Prepare a Provisioning Template

Create a provisioning template, and pre-configure common PBX settings tailored to your needs. For more information, see Create a Provisioning Template.
