Reduce System Capacity of a P-Series Cloud PBX

After you create a P-Series Cloud PBX, you can reduce the number of extensions and concurrent calls as needed.

Restrictions

Important:
  • The feature only works for partners who have purchased hosting package of P-Series Cloud Edition.
  • Reducing recording capacity is NOT allowed.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Yeastar Central Management, go to Cloud PBX > PBX.
  2. Select a desired PBX, click , then select Resize Capacity from the drop-down list.

  3. In the pop-up window, reduce the number of extensions or concurrent calls as needed.
    Setting Description
    Extension Reset the number of extensions.
    Concurrent Calls Reset the number of concurrent calls.
    Recording Capacity NOT allowed to reduce recording capacity.
    CAUTION: If you set the value to 0, Call Recording feature on the PBX will be disabled, and existing recording files will be cleared.
  4. Click Save.

Result

The operation result varies from the Plan with which the PBX is subscribed:

PBX with Enterprise Plan subscribed
  • The reduced extensions and concurrent calls are retrieved to your total subscription capacity, and takes effect on PBX immediately.
  • The extensions (extension number in ascending order) that fall out the range can not register to any endpoints.
    Note: If these extensions have registered to endpoints, they will be de-registered automatically.
PBX with Ultimate Plan subscribed
  • The reduced extensions and concurrent calls are retrieved to your total subscription capacity, and takes effect on PBX immediately.
    Note: Refund for reduced extensions is NOT supported. If you want to assign these extensions to another PBX with Ultimate Plan subscribed, you still need to pay extra charge.
  • The extensions (extension number in ascending order) that fall out the range can not register to any endpoints.
    Note: If these extensions have registered to endpoints, they will be de-registered automatically.
