Manage Group Voicemail Greetings

This topic describes how you can manage group voicemail greetings, including playing, downloading, and deleting greetings.

Edit a group voicemail greeting

  1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Features > Voicemail > Group Voicemail, edit the desired group voicemail.
  2. In the Group Voicemail Greeting section, click Greeting Management.
  3. In the pop-up window, click beside the desired greeting and edit the greeting as needed.
    Note: If you need to modify the name, the new one cannot be the same as any existing greeting.
    • For a greeting generated via text-to-speech (TTS), modify the name, TTS-related settings or upload a new greeting file, then click Save.
    • For a recorded or uploaded greeting, modify the name or update the greeting file (either record a new one via an extension or upload a new one from your computer), then click Save.
    If you update the greeting file, the new audio file will overwrite the existing one and this change will apply to all PBX use cases.
    Note: If you update the greeting file by uploading a new one, the name of the uploaded file does not alter the greeting name. Only the greeting file is overwritten.

Play a group voicemail greeting

To check the uploaded greetings or recorded group voicemail greetings, you can play the greeting on a phone or on web.

  1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Features > Voicemail > Group Voicemail, edit the desired group voicemail.
  2. In the Group Voicemail Greeting section, click Greeting Management.
  3. Select a greeting that you want to play, click .
  4. In the pop-up window, choose how to play the greeting:
    • Play on Web: Click to play the greeting on the web directly.
    • Play to Extension: Play the greeting on a phone.
      1. Select an extension, and click Play.

        The system places a call to the extension.

      2. Pick up the call to listen to the greeting on the phone.

Download group voicemail greeting

  1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Features > Voicemail > Group Voicemail, edit the desired group voicemail.
  2. In the Group Voicemail Greeting section, click Greeting Management.
  3. Select a greeting that you want to download, click .

Delete group voicemail greetings

  1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Call Features > Voicemail > Group Voicemail, edit the desired group voicemail.
  2. In the Group Voicemail Greeting section, click Greeting Management.
  3. To delete a greeting, do the following:
    1. Click beside the greeting.
    2. Click OK and Apply.
  4. To delete greetings in bulk, do the following:
    1. Select the checkboxes of the greetings, click Delete.
    2. Click OK and Apply.
