Create a Trunk from a Template
Yeastar has tested leading ITSP across the globe and provides configuration templates for the tested and certificated ITSPs. If a template is provided for your ITSP on Yeastar Central Management, you can quickly create a SIP trunk from the template.
Prerequisites
Check if your ITSP is tested and supported by Yeastar from ITSP partner page.
Note: If your ITSP is not in the
list, you can create a general SIP trunk. For more information, see Create a Register Trunk and Create a Peer Trunk.
Procedure
- Log in to Yeastar Central Management, go to .
- Click Add.
- In the Basic section, enter the general information
of the trunk.
Setting Description Name Enter a name to help you identify the trunk. The system will automatically append a 6-character random suffix (e.g. _M8D90A) to ensure the name uniqueness.Note: The name you enter can not exceed 56 characters.Trunk Status Select Enabled to activate the trunk. Region Select the region where the P-Series Cloud PBXs that will use this trunk are deployed. Note:- The shared trunk MUST be in the same region as the desired Cloud PBXs to ensure connectivity.
- The region cannot be changed after the trunk is created.
Select ITSP Template Select the country to which your ITSP belongs. ITSP Select your ITSP. Remark Optional. Add a remark for the trunk. The trunk details are displayed automatically in the Detailed Configuration section.
- In the Detailed Configuration section, leave the
default settings and complete the required fields.
- If the trunk type is Register Trunk, enter the Username, Password, and Authentication Name provided by your ITSP.
- If the trunk type is Peer Trunk, enter the Hostname/IP, Port, and Domain if they are not pre-filled. If the fields are pre-filled, retain the default values unless otherwise instructed.
- Optional: Go to the Advanced and SIP Headers tabs to configure advanced trunk settings according to your needs.
- Click Save.
Result
The trunk is displayed in the trunk list. If the status shows
, it indicates
that the trunk has been successfully registered or connected and is ready for
use.
What to do next
Add DID numbers to the trunk and assign the DID numbers to PBX instances for trunk sharing.
