Create an On-demand Backup Task

Yeastar Central Management supports to back up P-Series PBX System immediately.

Requirements

To create a backup task for P-Series Appliance / Software Edition, you need to subscribe to RM Premium (Self-hosted) service.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Yeastar Central Management, go to Task > Scheduled Task.
  2. Click Add to create a backup task.
  3. Set up the backup task.
    Setting Description
    Name Enter a name to help you identify the task.
    Object Type Select a P-Series PBX system.
    Task Select Backup.
    The Backup File will Include Choose the items that will be backed up.
    • System Configuration
    • Custom Prompts
    • Call Logs
    • Company Contacts and Phonebooks Settings
    • External Chat History
    • Fax Logs
    Archive the Files After Backup Optional. Decide whether to archive the backup files generated by this task to a specified archive server.
    Note: To use this feature, ensure that your desired archive server has been added on Yeastar Central Management, see Yeastar Central Management Remote Archiving Overview.
    Archive Server Select the desired archive server.
    Note: This setting is available only when Archive the Files After Backup is enabled.
    File Storage Path Specify the path to the folder on the archive server in which you want to store backup files.
    Note: This setting is available only when Archive the Files After Backup is enabled.
    Delete the Backup Files After Archiving Optional. If enabled, the backup files will be automatically deleted from Yeastar Central Management after being successfully archived.
    Note:
    • This setting is available only when Archive the Files After Backup is enabled.
    • If a backup file is failed to be archived, it will not be deleted.
    Repeat Select One-time.
    Execution Time Select the checkbox of Immediately.
    Timezone The field can not be edited.
    Creator Your name is automatically filled in, and the field can not be edited.
    Remark Optional. Add a note to the task.
    Object Select one or more PBXs that you want to back up.
    Note: The PBX system must be running, or the backup would FAIL.
  4. Click Save.

Result

  • The task status is displayed as (Executing), and PBX system is being backed up.

  • After PBX system is backed up, the followings are achieved:
    • The task status is displayed as (Finished).

    • A task execution log is generated and displayed on Task > Execution Logs.

    • The backup file is generated and displayed on Repository > Backup Files.
