Email Server Overview

An email server makes it possible for delivering e-mail messages over the Internet. This topic describes email server, email language, and email templates on Yeastar Central Management.

Email server

Emails to users or administrator are required in the following situations:
  • Activation emails such as P-Series Cloud PBX activation emails, colleague account activation emails, and reseller account activation emails.
  • Alarm notification emails

You can directly use the built-in email server of Yeastar Central Management without any additional configurations or use your custom one to send emails. To set up a custom email server, see Set up a Custom Email Server and Set up Outlook as an Email Server.

Email language

By default, Yeastar Central Management sends emails in the pre-defined language. To check or change email language, see System Language.

Email template

Yeastar Central Management provides default templates for different types of email, you can also customize email templates as needed.

Template of activation emails
  • For Cloud PBX activation emails: On Yeastar Central Management, go to Cloud PBX > PBX Email Template to update email template.

  • For Event alarms: On Yeastar Central Management, go to Alarm > Alarm Settings to update email template.

  • For PBX Reported alarms: On PBX management portal, go to System > Event Notification > Event Type to update email template.
