Server Domain Overview

This topic introduces the domain names of all the servers that are associated with Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBX, and provides server domain management guidance.

Background information

The overall infrastructure of the Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBX contains several back-end servers, including Yeastar Central Management (YCM) Server and cluster servers (SBC Server, SBC Proxy Server, and PBXHub Server), as the following figure shows.

Among these, the YCM Server, SBC Server and SBC Proxy Server require domain names and valid certificates to secure the PBX management and the PBX communication functionality.

The following table shows how the server domain names are used.

Server Server Domain Name Usage
YCM Server The domain name deployed on YCM Server is used to access to Yeastar Central Management web portal.
SBC Server The wildcard domain name deployed on SBC Server is used as the suffix of a Cloud PBX URL.

For example, if the SBC Server domain name is *.sbcdomain.com, then the created Cloud PBX's URL can be cloudpbx.sbcdomain.com.

SBC Proxy Server The wildcard domain name deployed on SBC Proxy Server is used to compose the Cloud PBX's server address for specific features, including Register Trunk, Port-based Peer Trunk, DID-based Peer Trunk, LDAP / LDAPS, SSH, AMI and Database Grant.
Note: The domain name of SBC Proxy Server is associated with the SBC domain name. For example, if the SBC domain name is *.sbcdomain.com, then SBC Proxy Server domain name can be *.proxy1.sbcdomain.com.
