Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Overview
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an authentication mechanism that requires users to enter an additional authentication code when signing in to NovoOne, providing an extra layer of security for accounts and helping protect against unauthorized access.
Authentication methods
NovoOne supports the following authentication methods:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
|
This method allows users to receive an authentication code for 2FA via the email address associated with their account. When signing in to NovoOne, users must enter their account password and the authentication code received by email. |
|
| Authenticator Application | This method requires users to install an authenticator
application on their mobile phone, then add their account to the
application to generate an authentication code for 2FA. When signing in to NovoOne, users must enter their account password and the authentication code generated by the authenticator application. |
2FA setup
NovoOne allows both administrators and users to enable 2FA for their own accounts.
| Scenario | Description |
