Voicemail Overview

Voicemail enables users to provide callers with a pre-recorded greeting when they are unavailable to answer calls and allows callers to leave voicemail messages for users, ensuring important messages are not missed.

What is voicemail?

Voicemail provides a way to handle calls when users are unavailable to answer. When a call is routed to voicemail, the system plays the configured greeting and allows the caller to leave a message. The message is then saved in the user's voicemail box for later access.

How to set up voicemail?

  1. (Global Setting) Configure voicemail settings (e.g. voicemail greeting, voicemail number) to provide callers with guidance and users with convenient access to their voicemail boxes.
  2. (Global Setting) Configure voicemail feature codes to provide users with quick access to the following features:
    • Check their own voicemail or another user's voicemail
    • Monitor their own voicemail status or another user's voicemail status on an IP phone
  3. (User-specific Setting) Enable and configure voicemail for users.
Note: Users can also configure voicemail for their own extension from NovoOne Web Client.
