Contacts Overview

Contacts are people outside your organization with whom your employees frequently communicate. NovoOne supports personal contacts exclusive to individual users and company contacts shared across all users, allowing users to easily identify calls from known contacts and quickly reach contacts from their NovoOne clients.

Contact types

NovoOne supports the following two types of contacts:

Type Description
Personal Contact

Personal contacts are contacts created and managed by individual users. They are private to each user and can only be viewed by the user who created them.

Users can create personal contacts (such as direct customers) from their NovoOne clients.

Company Contact

Company contacts are contacts created and managed at the tenant level. They are available to all users within the tenant.

You can create shared company contacts (such as company's customers, resellers, or partners) on tenant portal, and these contacts are synchronized to all users' NovoOne clients.

Note: Currently, users can not add company contacts by themselves.

Contact matching priority for incoming calls

When an incoming call number matches both a company contact and a personal contact, the system matches contact based on the following priority order:

  • Personal Contact
  • Company Contact

When a matching contact is found, the corresponding contact name is displayed.

Note: For NovoOne Mobile Client, when native contacts on the mobile phone are accessible and a matching contact is found, the native contact information takes precedence.
