Assign DID Numbers to a Specified Tenant

After adding DID numbers and associating them with SIP trunks, you can assign the numbers to a specified tenant, so that the DID numbers can be used within the tenant's inbound routes to direct inbound calls to matching destinations.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites differ depending on whether the target tenant to which you want assign DID numbers is one of your own tenants or one of your resellers' tenants.
Target Prerequisites
Assign DID numbers to one of your own tenant
Assign DID numbers to one of your resellers' tenants
  • To assign DID numbers that you own to a reseller's tenant, ensure that you have added DID numbers, associated them with target SIP trunks, and specified that they can be used within a specified reseller's tenants.
Note: The target DID numbers must not be assigned to any tenant.

You can go to Inventory > DID Numbers and check the Assigned Tenant column for the numbers. If the column field displays Unassigned, it indicates that the number can be assigned.

  • To assign DID numbers that your reseller own to one of the reseller's tenant, ensure that the reseller owns available DID numbers.
Note: You can go to Inventory > DID Numbers and check the Assigned Tenant column for numbers where the Owner column displays Reseller / {reseller's email address}. If the Assigned Tenant column displays Unassigned, the number is available for assignment.
