System Requirements for SBC Server

To deploy SBC Server, you need to know the requirements of hardware, Ethernet port, operating system, network bandwidth, domain, and certificates.

Important: The private subnet of the server MUST be set to one of the following subnet options, otherwise the server installation would fail.
  • 10.0.0.0/8
  • 172.16.0.0/12 (excluding the 172.17.x.x and 172.19.x.x IP address ranges)
  • 192.168.0.0/16

Hardware requirement

The server used to host the SBC should meet the following minimum requirements.

Important: Minimum 150MB/s read speed and 150MB/s write speed.

Operating system requirement

Note: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is also supported, but we recommend that you start with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, as 20.04 LTS is reaching the end of its standard five-year support window.
Language English
Important: The default operating system language MUST be set to English to ensure the proper operation of the server.

Ethernet port requirement

The SBC Server needs 1 Ethernet port.

To ensure the proper operation of all services on the SBC server, open the following ports on the firewall:

Network bandwidth requirement

The network bandwidth of the server should meet the following minimum requirements.

  • Upstream Bandwidth: 50 Mbps
  • Downstream Bandwidth: 50 Mbps
VoIP Bandwidth consumption naturally depends on the codec used, you can set up your network bandwidth according to the requirements of audio codecs.
