System Requirements for PBXHub Server

To deploy PBXHub Server, you need to know the requirements of hardware, Ethernet port, and operating system.

Important: The private subnet of the server MUST be set to one of the following subnet options, otherwise the server installation would fail.
  • 10.0.0.0/8
  • 172.16.0.0/12 (excluding the 172.17.x.x and 172.19.x.x IP address ranges)
  • 192.168.0.0/16

Hardware requirement

Each PBXHub Server can provide up to 200 Cloud PBX instances, you can scale up the number of PBXHub Servers according to the number of Cloud PBXs you need.

The server used to host the PBXHub must meet the following minimum requirements based on the number of Cloud PBX instances and the expected concurrent call volume.

Note:
  • The CC in the following table means concurrent calls.
  • To support more than 100 Cloud PBX instances, the firmware of PBXHub server should be 85.15.0.70 or later.
  • For deployments with up to 200 PBXs and up to 500 concurrent calls, see the following table.

    The minimum read/write throughput of the storage disks should be 150 MB/s.

    Note: To adapt to the restructured CDR on Cloud PBX with firmware version 84.21.0.117 or later, a minimum read/write throughput of 500 MB/s is required for the PBX data disk.

Note: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is also supported, but we recommend that you start with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, as 20.04 LTS is reaching the end of its standard five-year support window.

Important: The default operating system language MUST be set to English to ensure the proper operation of the server.

Ethernet port requirement

The PBXHub Server needs 1 Ethernet port.

Port requirement

Make sure that the PBXHub server can communicate with other servers (YCM Server, Yeastar Load Balancer, SBC Server, and SBC Proxy Server) in the private network.
