Prepare Environment for Homer Deployment

This topic provides the prerequisites and server requirements for Homer service. You need to prepare the server environment and then contact Yeastar to proceed with the deployment.

Prerequisites

To work properly with the Homer service, ensure the following servers in your Yeastar Central Management system are running the required firmware versions:

SBC Server / SBC Proxy Server 86.17.0.16 or later
PBXHub Server 85.17.0.16 or later
P-Series Cloud PBX 84.20.0.128 or later

Supported deployment options

You can deploy Homer in one of the following ways. Select an option and complete the corresponding preparations.
  • Option 1: Deploy on your YCM server

    If you choose this option, modify your existing YCM server to meet the required specifications. For more information, see Adjust YCM server specifications.

  • Option 2: Deploy on a dedicated server

    If you choose this option, prepare a new server that meets the required specifications. For more information, see Prepare a dedicated Server.

Adjust YCM server specifications

Configure your YCM server according to the following requirements to ensure successful Homer deployment.

Configure the firewall to open TCP ports 9080 and 5432 for inbound access from the public internet.

Deployment Location The server must reside within the same VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) as the other servers of Yeastar Central Management system to ensure internal communication between Homer and other components.
Public Access Assign an public IP address to the server.
Note: To provide more secure access, it is recommended to configure a domain name for the server (e.g., homer.yourcompany.com) and prepare a valid SSL/TLS certificate for the domain to enable secured access.
Firewall Rules Open TCP ports 9080 and 5432 for inbound access from the public internet.
