Add-on Servers Overview

The mandatory core servers of the system provide essential functions for P-Series Cloud PBXs, such as centralized management, call processing, and signaling. To expand management capabilities, such as communication monitoring and remote management, you can deploy and configure relevant add-on servers. This document provides an overview of these optional servers.

Homer Monitoring

By connecting a Homer server to the YCM server, this service enables comprehensive SIP/RTP packet capture, visualization, and troubleshooting for P-Series Cloud PBXs, offering in-depth analysis of call quality and network performance.

To use this service, you can either upgrade the performance of the existing YCM server or deploy a dedicated server for Homer. For more information about server requirements, see Deployment Preparation for Homer.

Remote Management

This service provides secure and centralized remote access and management for P-Series Appliance/Software Edition PBXs and Yeastar TA gateways through the YCM management platform. Through the encrypted connection tunnel established by this feature, you can remotely perform tasks such as configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting without exposing local devices to the public internet.

To use this service, you need to update the configuration of the existing YCM server and additionally deploy a dedicated server for TA gateway remote management. For more information about server requirements, see Deployment Preparation for Remote Management.
