Configure a Room Comfort Sensor

Milesight room comfort sensors support configuration via NFC. You can configure a room comfort sensor with an NFC-enabled smartphone, and save the configuration as a template to configure multiple devices easily and quickly.

Note

Room comfort sensors do not support registration to Yeastar Workplace at this time. But the sensors' functions are not compromised.

Configure a room comfort sensor

Before you start the configuration, you need to install the room comfort sensor.

Access the configuration page

Download and install Milesight ToolBox App from Google Play or Apple App Store.
Enable NFC on the smartphone and launch Milesight ToolBox.
Attach the smartphone with NFC area to the device to read device information.
The device's basic information and settings will be shown on ToolBox App if it’s recognized successfully.

Note

Ensure the location of the smartphone NFC area and it’s recommended to take off the phone case.
If the smartphone fails to read/write configurations via NFC, keep the phone away and back to try again.
To protect the security of the device, please change the password when first configuration.
The default password is 123456.

Configure time synchronization

Go to Device > Status on the app, and click Sync.
Attach the smartphone with NFC area to the NFC antenna of the device to sync the time on the screen.

Configure preference settings

Go to Device > Settings > General Settings. Configure the following settings according to your preferences. See parameter descriptions.
After completing the configuration, tap Write.
Attach the smartphone with NFC area to the NFC antenna of the device to apply your configuration.

Wait for a few seconds, a result will be displayed on the screen.

Configure devices via templates

If you have multiple sensors need configuring, you can create a template after configuring one room comfort sensor. All the settings in this template can be applied to other room comfort sensors, which eliminates the trouble of repeated configuration.

Prerequisite

Access the configuration page and complete the configuration on ToolBox app.
Template configuration is only allowed for devices with the same model and LoRaWAN® frequency band.

Procedure

Go to Template page on the app and tap Save as a New Template to save your current configuration as a new template.
In the pop-up window, enter the template name and tap OK.
A new template will be displayed on the screen.
Tip
- Slide the template item to the left to edit or delete it.
- Tap the template to view and edit the configurations.
Tap a template on the app.
Tap Write, then attach the smartphone with NFC area to the NFC antenna of another device to write configuration.
