Examples of Yeastar-OPERA PMS Functionality

This topic provides a list of examples showing the synchronization between Yeastar P-Series PBX System and Oracle Hospitality OPERA after the integration.

Example: Check-in

In this example, we check in guest "Leo Ball" to Room 1001 in OPERA PMS, then refresh the PBX web page to find that the Caller ID Name of Extension 1001 has been updated from 1001 to Leo Ball.
Note:
  • To see the extension change, you need to manually refresh the PBX web page.
  • Caller ID Name in the extension list consists of First Name and Last Name.

Example: Check-out

In this example, we check out guest "Leo Ball" from Room 1001 in OPERA PMS, then refresh the PBX web page to find the followings:

  • The Caller ID Name of Extension 1001 has been updated from Leo Ball to 1001.
  • An indicator is displayed, indicating that outbound calls from the extension is NOT allowed.

Example: Room move

In this example, we move room for guest "Leo Ball" from Room 1001 to Room 1005 in OPERA PMS, then refresh the PBX web page to find the followings:

Note: To see the extension change, you need to manually refresh the PBX web page.
  • The Caller ID Name of Extension 1001 has been reset to 1001, and an indicator is displayed indicating that outbound calls from the extension is NOT allowed.
  • The Caller ID Name of Extension 1005 has been updated to Leo Ball.

Example: Wake-up call

In this example, we schedule a wake-up call for guest "Leo Ball" (room extension 1001) at 04:45 PM, the PBX automatically calls the room phone at 04:45 PM. We then search in OPERA PMS to find that the alarm status has been updated from Pending to Completed.

Example: Call billing

In this example, the guest "Leo Ball" made an outbound call from room phone (extension 1001) to 1578252 and talked for 1 minute. When the outbound call ends, the PBX sends the Callee Number: 1578252, Call Duration: 00:01:00, and Total Call Cost: 2.50 to PMS.

Example: Minibar charge

In this example, we dial *6213 on the guest phone (Room 1001) to post the minibar charge of $13. We then search on OPERA PMS to find that the charge has been posted to Room 1001.

Example: Housekeeping

In this example, we dial *614 from the desk phone in "Room 1001". After hearing the prompt "Operated Successfully. Thank you. Goodbye.", we hung up the call, then search to find that the room status has been updated to Clean in OPERA PMS.

Example: Do Not Disturb (DND)

In this example, we enable DND for "Room 1001" in OPERA PMS. We can see the presence of "Extension 1001" has been automatically updated to Do Not Disturb in the PBX.
